Polymer Pilot Plant Opens Path to New Technologies
This pilot plant is a flexible system that tests new scientific formulations for bio-polymer additives. Bio-polymer formulations are created using a two-phase, steam injected reaction process. This pilot plant allows new formulations to be produced in significant amounts three times faster than before and creates the opportunity for on-going refinement. This process is currently running as a successful demonstration plant at Iowa State University, helping develop new bio-polymer technologies.
