Pilot Plant for New Biochemical ProductsA coalition formed by Argo Gensis, Iowa State University and Seneca was formed to explore new biochemical additives for asphalt and other heavy industries. This pilot module allows new formulations to be produced at significant levels for market testing. It is currently in use at Iowa State University.

Automated Chemical Pilot PlantAn outdated semi-automated solution was replaced by this automated chemical pilot plant. The plant features industrial batching equipment and batch management software that has increased system productivity by 60 percent over the old solution. This pilot process system is an upgraded solution, replacing a fully manual operation.

Sanitary Modular Batch Mixing PlantA batch mixing system is assembled into modules in EPIC's fabrication shop. This system shipped overseas to it's final destination where it will be used to introduce a new product to the market.

Every pilot plant is fully tested before leaving EPIC's facility and arrives fully ready for startup. Our experts come with your plant to install and start it up, making sure punch list items and training is completed for you.

Pilot Module InstallationEPIC installs a module through the roof a new facility. Modules provide the extra benefit of containing your process into one mobile unit. This means your process can be installed in hard-to-reach areas of your plant, or moved at will. Don't worry, we don't normally need to remove your roof to install your pilot plant!

CO2 Removal Technology Proven with Pilot Plants by EPICA new CO2 capture technology for Akermin Inc. was proven viable through a series of pilot skids used for testing. EPIC provided the module seen here first, which was installed at the National Carbon Capture testing site in Alabama. An upgrade and addition to this system were recently completed.

Industrial Pesticide Production PlantThis custom process system is designed in a unique two-to-one process skid layout. A single module was assembled and fabricated at EPIC and will contain the final working production system. During shipping, the single module was split into two modules then rejoined once on site.

Distillation Tower for Alternative EnergyEPIC helped Akermin achieve a commercial plant size for their distillation system that was under budget and met technical proficiency. EPIC’s experienced fabrication team suggested the use of stainless steel tubing. The recommendation was a success as the tubing was faster to install, cost less and the process systems operational parameters did not require piping. Read how EPIC helped Akermin engineer and fabricate this commercial distillation tower that was able to remove 90% of C02 from coal fired flue gas.
